USDT-TRC20 and Solana are usually the cheapest, with fees typically under one cent. For Ethereum mainnet, using Arbitrum, Optimism, or Base brings the cost down by an order of magnitude.

Can I pay with a token that isn't shown on this page?

Possibly. The list at the live checkout pulls from the NowPayments API in real time and is always authoritative.

What happens if I send the wrong token to a payment invoice?

Each Genghis invoice is single-token. Sending a different token means the funds are highly likely to be lost. Always confirm the token, network, and exact amount before broadcasting.

Does Genghis charge fees on top of the network gas?

No platform fee. The only cost is the network gas fee plus the spread that NowPayments applies during conversion, visible at checkout before you pay.

1. How the token list works

Genghis processes cryptocurrency payments through NowPayments, a non-custodial payment processor. Every token supported by NowPayments is accepted at Genghis checkout for any product in the 4,300+ SKU catalog — gift cards, game keys, eSIMs, and prepaid cards included.

The list updates as NowPayments integrates new chains and assets. If your token does not appear below, it may still surface in the live checkout selector — the real-time list at checkout is authoritative. If you cannot find it there either, see §5 below, or contact us with the request.

4. How tokens are added

Token availability is determined by NowPayments infrastructure, not unilaterally by Genghis. A new token is added when three conditions hold:

Processor support. NowPayments has integrated the asset with sufficient depth for reliable invoice handling, confirmation tracking, and refund flow.

Liquidity. The token has enough on-exchange liquidity for our processor to convert it within the 15-minute payment window without material slippage.

Supplier compatibility. Our gift-card and digital-goods suppliers (Bamboo, Tillo, Piggy, Xoxoday) have no compliance restriction blocking the asset on the upstream side.

To request a token not currently listed, write to support@genghis.pro with the token name and ticker. We review every request and forward eligible ones to NowPayments. Response time: 48–72 hours.

5. Tokens we don't support and why

Transparency about what is not accepted prevents failed payments and wasted gas fees. The categories below are excluded by policy or by infrastructure constraint.

Zcash shielded transactions (z-addresses)

Transactions sent from Zcash shielded addresses cannot be verified on-chain by our processor, which creates delivery risk. Transparent ZEC addresses (t-addresses) may surface in the checkout selector — confirm at checkout.

Algorithmic stablecoins without collateral

After the Terra / LUNA collapse in May 2022, we do not accept unbacked algorithmic stablecoins. Collateralised stablecoins (USDT, USDC, DAI) remain fully supported.

Sanctioned addresses and mixer outputs

Funds traceable to OFAC-sanctioned addresses or to mixer protocols designated as sanctioned (e.g. Tornado Cash post-2022) cannot be processed. This is a NowPayments compliance constraint, not a Genghis privacy stance — Monero, which is private by protocol design, remains fully supported.

Low-liquidity assets and dead chains

Tokens without enough exchange liquidity for sub-15-minute conversion, and assets on chains that have lost validator coverage, are not accepted. The list changes as ecosystems evolve.

6. Network coverage for multi-chain tokens

Several tokens exist across multiple blockchains. The version you send must match the network selected at checkout — sending USDT-ERC20 to a USDT-TRC20 invoice means the funds are at risk of loss. Always double-check the network before broadcasting.
